DUOPUU/Paolo Simeone is pleased to be engaged in teaching in the 2nd level Specializing Master's Programme in "Wood Building Architecture" – first and second edition – at Polytechnic University of Turin, a programme designed with the aim of educating experts for the Italian rising timber construction sector and open to graduates in engineering and architecture. Paolo Simeone is holding the course “Structural uses of wood: innovation and sustainability” as well as the final class “Timber Building Construction Lab”. Sustainability, wood and innovative building systems for a new ecological design of our houses and cities. DUOPUU will push architects designers engineers and students into the fundamental basis of the modern architecture of wood at the first workshop by Opendot dedicated to the wood as a modern and technological construction material.
DUOPUU is teaching in the Master Carpenter Course carried out by IFP “Pertini” - Trento Professional Training Institute with the support of the Autonomous Province of Trento. Carpenters are involved in the studying of the new construction methods based on wood and in the assemblage of a real scale model of a X-Lam (cross laminated timber) building. DUOPUU is teaching in a "Carpentry and joinery course", financed by European Social Fund, at the "CFP-Veronesi" Rovereto professional training school. Partecipants – fifteen unemployed workers from all over the world – must learn to design and build timber roofs, traditional floors and joints.
